The Oar Perspective

As Seen On TV
Oar Health launched its first TV ads a few weeks ago. Have you seen them on the air?

If not, watch below and let us know what you think by emailing us: newsletter@oarhealth.com.
Why are we advertising Oar Health on TV?

Because it is fundamental to our vision of a world where no one hits rock bottom that people struggling with alcohol learn about safe, effective, evidence-based treatment options as soon as possible.

About 30 million Americans have alcohol use disorder. Only 2% are prescribed medication to help them drink less or quit. Despite medication-assisted treatment being proven to help people cut back on days drinking, drinks consumed, and cravings for alcohol.

The biggest obstacle to broader adoption is awareness. We see our TV campaign as an important step to close that awareness gap.

How else do you think we should be spreading the word about the daily pill to drink less or quit? Let us know what you think by emailing us: newsletter@oarhealth.com.

Oar Member Story

The Golden Rule
"I follow The Sinclair Method and, for me, the golden rule is to ALWAYS take naltrexone and wait at least an hour before you drink. Making that a non-negotiable for me made it so much easier to stick with the plan. I never got caught off guard with an offer for a drink; if I didn’t have naltrexone in me, or if it hadn’t been an hour since I took it, I wasn’t going to drink. Since Day One I have stuck to that rule, and I think it has made all the difference in the world for my success! I now am a certified TSM coach and that is one of the first pieces of information I give clients!"
